I worked as a camp manager responsible for a 25 person camp deep in the Surinamese jungle. Operations were complicated by difficulty in mobilizing supplies and personnel, local artisanal miners, and the jungle climate. Drilling managed to continue despite the logistical difficulties and we operated with no lost time incidents. Access to the site consisted of a bush plane flight, a multi-hour canoe trip, and a 12km quad ride into site.
